Meet Michelle Jackson
Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Michelle had her first taste of the food business early in her dad’s restaurant - the famed Alice’s on the Malibu Pier. At just eleven years old, Michelle begged to become a bus girl and refused to take no for an answer. She proved every doubt of her physical strength and ability to carry loads of dishes wrong and secured herself a position. From there, she became a hostess, waitress, and centerpiece of the restaurant.
Michelle found her way back into the kitchen by accident after having her three children, Rae, Charlotte, and Travis. As a natural hostess, Michelle was constantly entertaining friends and family. She went on to participate in Malibu Cooks Tour, a fundraising event featuring Malibu real estate, architecture, art, and cuisine by local prominent chefs and restaurants. Her crab cakes soon gained a cult following and eventually led her to start Michelle’s Malibu Meals.
Now, with over 25 years of private cheffing and catering experience under her belt, Michelle has created a varied and loyal clientele, and has never strayed from the core values that inspired this mission in the first place. Michelle lives and breathes her food + life philosophy of enjoying everything in moderation, letting the ingredients speak for themselves, and celebrating the dinner table as a forum for making new friends and cherishing the old.
